The Residential Management Group Ltd has been providing residential property management agency services across the UK since 1986. Our nationwide team of property professionals care for over 100,000 homes from a network of regional offices based in Hoddesdon, Northwich, London Docklands, London Marylebone, Birmingham and Newton Aycliffe.
With the evolution of the Internet and its increasing acceptance as a means to communicate, we felt it was time to utilize this and enhance communications with Resident Management Companies, Residents, and ourselves.
The project itself has evolved from providing a simple means of viewing your service charge account(s) to a facility for making online payments and providing relevant information to about the development in which you own property.
We intend RMG Living to grow organically to facilitate existing and future services that we provide our customers, making information more readily available.
RMG on Buckshaw
Buckshaw Village is a ground breaking development, between the towns of Chorley and Leyland in Lancashire, built on a Royal Ordnance Factory site owned by British Aerospace.
It is one of the largest urban development sites in the North West of England and the site consists of 2500 homes, ranging from 1 bedroom apartments to 6 bedroom detached houses. Many of the homes are aimed at first-time buyers and families with schemes such as ‘shared ownership’ available.
Highland Drive apartments
There are several faciliities on site including a community centre. The centre contains a large hall with a seating capacity for up to 200 people, a meeting room which seats approximately 24 people and other facilities including a large kitchen area.
The large hall has a raised stage area and the facility has sports equipment including tennis tables and moveable basketball hoops. The community centre is home to the local veterinary surgery at Buckshaw Village.
Buckshaw is also home to state-of-the art sporting facilities outside. There is a floodlit astroturf pitch and a basketball court as well as a full-sized football pitch. The pitch sizes which are agreed to FA standards are used regularly by many of the local sports clubs including Euxton girls and Brinscall Village among the many who use the facility.
The pitches are also fully marked for other sports including tennis and netball and there is excellent car parking facilities including disabled parking.
The Main Hall
Buckshaw Village has lots of open space areas throughout with walk ways for residents linking all areas of the village from Maltby Square, Sunningdale Drive to Guernsey Avenue.
The areas contain lots of ‘green space’ and plant life throughout.
Within these areas there are also several play areas.
All of these facilities fall under the management of RMG.
We have regular meetings with the Residents Association to ensure they are actively involved in the running of the community facilities.
This is a successful partnership with RMG supporting and attending resident held events such as the Christmas Pantomimes, Farmers Markets as well as the regular festivities around Halloween and Easter.
RMG are also supportive of upcoming events including a charity coffee morning, in aid of local people who suffer with dementia. All of these events take place at the community centre.
Due to the diverse range of residents, facilities and stakeholders we have created a structured communication channels with all involved which includes many regular meetings with key stakeholders.
RMG have established themselves as part of the community infrastructure and developed it’s role beyond traditional facilities management. We have a weekly presence on site to meet with the residents and monitor services.
We have also introduced social networking accounts specifically for Buckshaw Residents keeping them in touch with the on-going maintenance work at Buckshaw as well as informing them of upcoming events at the facilities
